Blood Libel

A false antisemitic accusation, originating in 12th-century England, that Jews murder non-Jewish children — often for ritual or religious purposes. The accusation has no factual basis and has historically been used to incite pogroms and mass killings of Jewish communities across Europe and the Middle East. The term is used in contemporary contexts to describe unfounded accusations that Israel deliberately harvests organs from Palestinians, uses children as military targets for sport, or deliberately engineers famine — claims circulated by political figures, state media, and online networks without evidence, and which follow the historical pattern of the libel.
