IDF Military Advocate General Resigns After Admitting She Authorized Leak of Sde Teiman Video
Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, the IDF's chief military prosecutor, resigned after it emerged she had authorized leaking the Sde Teiman security-camera clip to Channel 12 in August 2024. Police opened a criminal investigation into the leak and an alleged cover-up — a development later cited as a reason the Sde Teiman indictment could not proceed fairly.

- October 2025: It emerged that the Military Advocate General, Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, had secretly authorized the leak. Police opened a criminal investigation into the leak and an alleged cover-up on October 29, and she resigned on October 31. (Lawfare)

The leak and the investigation of the prosecution team became central to the later decision to drop the Sde Teiman case: defense lawyers could argue the prosecution was compromised, and the parallel investigation threatened to delay the trial. (Lawfare; Jerusalem Post)
